NOW ON TAP! - Throwback Pale Ale

Throwback Pale Ale

5.2% ABV // 30 IBU // 1.050 OG

medium body + piney & floral + well balanced

This Pale Ale is hopped exclusively and heavily with Yakima Cascades and Idaho-grown Chinooks, two of the original experimental hops in craft brewing. The use of rye in the mash adds intrigue to the malt bill while staying true to the clean and balanced nature of this style. The beer is highly filtered to pay our respects to the original hoppy Pale Ales that made the style popular.

HOPS: Cascade, Chinook
MALT: 2-Row Pale, Caramunich, Rye

NOW ON TAP! - Anniversary XIPA

ANNIVERSARY XIPA

7.8% ABV // 65 IBU // 1.071 OG

big body + smooth + juicy

This special Extra IPA was brewed to celebrate our second birthday! It comes across very smooth and juicy, reminiscent of fresh squeezed orange juice. Its big body is made of floor malted Maris Otter malt, which really takes center stage. In terms of the ingredients used in this beer, it's odd considering hops are what tend to make or break IPA's. In this case the beautiful, traditional style of malting once widely used, but now difficult to find, is what supports all the juicy hop flavors in this beer. Floor malting is said to lend a unique "earthy" tone to the beer it is used in - see if you can pick it out!

HOPS: Azacca, El Dorado, Mosaic
MALT: Floor Malted Maris Otter

Two Year Anniversary!

On May 21, 2016, we celebrated our second birthday in true Aslan style: with lots of friends, food, music, and great beer. We transformed our parking lot into a beer garden, complete with lawn games, face painting, and an outdoor bar. Our new patio stage featured live music from Baby CakesMaddie PritchardRivers to RoadsPete Irving, and Mr. Feelgood & the Firm BelieversFancy Face By Bailey was in-house painting faces for our pint-sized guests. The Bellingham Circus Guild topped off the night with an incredible late night-performance.

Thank you to everyone who came by and celebrated with us! We would not have made it to two years without all your amazing support.

NOW ON TAP! - Patio Sesh'

PATIO SESH'

4.5% ABV // 25 IBU // 1.048 OG

light body + tropical + balanced

Caramunich and roasted malts provide a subtle malty boost in the body of this session-able spring ale. A combination of Palisade and Ahtanum lay a foundation of fruity & floral hop flavor. A Citra dryhop adds a refreshing tropical kick, making this beer perfectly suited for enjoying outside in the sun. Original recipe by our Lead Brewer, Brad Church.

HOPS: Ahtanum, Bravo, Citra, Palisade
MALT: 2-Row Pale, Carafa, Caramunich, Chocolate

NOW ON TAP! - Illmatic IPA

Illmatic IPA

6.3% ABV // 70 IBU // 1.060 OG

medium body + white grapefruit notes + unfiltered

This IPA is a big citrus bomb of white grapefruit with hints of Meyer lemon zest. It's made with only the choicest of continental pilsner and wheat malts and pungent hops from Yakima Valley; an East meets West showdown of ingredients and styles. The bitterness lasts, but at a pleasant, well-balanced level.

HOPS:
Azacca, El Dorado, Mosaic
MALT:
Continental Pilsner, Wheat

NOW ON TAP! - Frances Farmer (Saison)

Frances Farmer (Saison)

5.8% ABV // 24 IBU // 1.048 OG

medium body + prickly carbonation + dry

Made in the Dupont style, this classic representation of a farmhouse ale is light in color, with a soft mouthfeel that is complemented with lots of carbonation. Faint notes of bubblegum are washed away with hints of naval oranges, making this beer quite refreshing.

HOPS:
Czech Saaz
MALT:
Pilsner, Wheat

NOW ON TAP! - Brick Is Red (North Fork Brewery Collab)

Brick Is Red - Dry Hopped Sour

5.7% ABV // 10 IBU // 1.059 OG

medium body + tart + dark chocolate & cherry notes

For this year's Washington Beer Collaboration Festival, we teamed up with North Fork Brewery head brewer, Eric Jorgensen. This deep red, moderately tart beer exudes flavors of dark chocolate and pie cherries. In the spirit of creative collaboration, we went a step further and dry hopped it with Nelson Sauvin to create a truly unique beer that exemplifies the strengths of both North Fork and Aslan brew.

HOPS:
Nelson Sauvin
MALT:
Acidulated, Carafa, Chocolate, Maris Otter, Munich

NOW ON TAP! - Lucky Break - Vienna Lager

medium body + toffee notes + clean

This special creation comes to you from the mind of Jenn Tadder, the **Bellingham Homebrewers Guild 2015 Homebrewer of the Year**. In addition to some new hardware for her trophy shelf, Jenn won the opportunity to brew a collaboration beer with our Masterbrewer, Frank, and will enter it as Bellingham’s first Pro-Am entry in the WA Beer Awards! The result is a delicately malty beer with notes of toffee, a soft bitterness, and a clean, refreshing finish.

How do I make my unique SPIRIT ANIMAL art piece?

What do I need to bring?

The simple answer: Put your image on a USB drive, in a .jpg form, or vector file. We scanned our hand-drawn image at 600dpi, put it on a USB drive and walked it down to the Foundry. Once we got there the staff guided us and educated us on how to use the laser cutter and bam!
