BEER LINEUP

In the pursuit of the perfect beer, we've brewed A LOT of different styles. On our pilot system in a little, back-alley warehouse, we brewed over 130 original batches. From that, we narrowed it down to our favorites, which we refer to as our Flagship lineup. We offer these Flagship styles year round, while our Seasonal & Special Release styles are rotating to compliment the ever changing tastes & sensations of the current season.

Keep up with our new beer releases by signing up for our Brew News.

Our beer is certified organic by Washington State Department of Agriculture.

CLASSIC LIGHT LAGER

4.2% ABV // 24 IBU // 1.036 OG

light body + malt forward + crisp

This is your classic, easy drinking light lager beer — light in flavor, alcohol, and calories. While it may be an American macro brewery standard, it’s better when brewed in small batches without corn and rice. Pours a pale straw color with a rocky white head. For a throwback to simpler times and a taste of nostalgia, reach for a Classic Light Lager!

HOPS:
Saaz
MALT:
Pilsner
[2015] Bronze / Light and Amber Lagers / WA Beer Awards

BATCH 15 (IPA)

7.0% ABV // 65 IBU // 1.060 OG

medium body + zippy citrus + unfiltered

This hazy, juicy IPA is hopped heavily with Citra and Simcoe, then paired with choice American wheat and two-row barley. Intentionally unfiltered to spotlight the rawness of organic hops, this IPA is less bitter but more flavorful and balanced than most West Coast versions.

HOPS:
Bravo, Citra, Chinook, Simcoe
MALT:
2-Row Pale, Wheat
AWARDS:
[2015] 1st Place / People's Choice / Yes, We CAN! Festival
[2017] Double Gold / Best Northeastern-Style IPA / SIP Northwest

DAWN PATROL (PACIFIC ALE)

5.3% ABV // 18 IBU // 1.054 OG

medium body + pineapple & mango notes + refreshing

This beer is mild yet complex in its delivery. The hop presence is noticed by subtle flavors of pineapples that meld beautifully with the slightly spicy and minty character derived from the use of Rye malt. A somewhat recently pioneered style, this Pacific Ale is delivered unfiltered to accentuate its fresh farm to glass, unprocessed, organic qualities.

HOPS:
Cascade, El Dorado
MALT:
2-Row Pale, Caramunich, Munich, Rye

GINGER RYE ALE

5.4% ABV // 18 IBU // 1.054 OG

medium body + ginger & limes + approachable

This beer falls into the “specialty” category, but it’s based off an American Pale Ale and inspired by a delicious cocktail called the “Moscow Moose”. The ginger is present, yet subtle as is the rye. The wild card is the use of limes, which shine through on the finish. This is an adventurous beer and a staple of our brewery.

HOPS:
Cascade, Nugget
MALT:
2-Row Pale, C-40, Carahell, Rye
AWARDS:
[2014] 2nd Place / People's Choice / Yes, We CAN! Festival

B'HAM BROWN

5.8% ABV // 24 IBU // 1.058 OG

light body + roasted nuts and chocolate notes + malt forward

True Brown Ales are light in body, but not light in flavor. This beer accomplishes that with generous amounts of Chocolate, Black, Carahell, and Roasted malts along with a complicated mash schedule that delivers a malt forward beer with a light, easy drinking quality that will keep you refreshed and intrigued.

HOPS:
Cascade, Hallertau, Sterling
MALT:
2-Row Pale, Munich, Chocolate, Roasted Barley, Vienna

Stout - SQUARE.jpg

AMERICAN STOUT

7.0% ABV // 57 IBU // 1.070 OG

big body + coffee and chocolate notes + smooth

This American style stout keeps in tradition with the high volume of roasted malts used for flavor and color. Black, Roasted, and Chocolate malts are used for a roasted coffee bean, dark chocolate malt flavor. Balanced with Cascade and Centennial hops for a crisp, piney character that is neither bitter nor overpowering.

HOPS:
Chinook, Simcoe
MALT:
2-Row Pale, Munich, Wheat, Rolled Oats, C-60, Roast, Black
AWARDS:
[2016] Silver / American Style Stout / Best of Craft Beer Awards

[2017] Silver / Best Stout / SIP Northwest

PETE'S N/A

<0.5% ABV // 28 IBU // 1.040 OG

light body + dry hopped + crisp

Jack Lamb, the owner of Aslan, has a father Pete. Like many folks out there, Pete can no longer drink alcohol. So, we made him a beer he could drink, and named it after him. Pete's NA is a light bodied ale, brewed to emulate an IPA. It was made with unmalted wheat, spelt, and buckwheat to create a very low ABV beer post fermentation. We then evaporated the remaining alcohol and dry hopped it with Sterling Hops. This beer will not get you drunk, but it will make you think you are drinking an IPA.

HOPS:
Premiant, Sterling
MALT:
2-Row, Buckwheat, Carahell, Spelt, Unmalted Wheat

RETURN OF THE MACK (IPA)

7.0% ABV // 55 IBU // 14.6 P

medium body + piney + balanced

The return of the return of our West Coast style IPA. Inspired by a certain midwest icon, where nearly the entire hop bill is Centennial. For our beer though, we dry hop it with a small amount of Mosaic. Aside from that, this is a showcase for our favorite C hop. With a firm bitterness, and a palate ranging from pine to white Texas grapefruit, this beer exemplifies what we would call a classic west coast style. It a brewery favorite for sure and one that we look forward to releasing each year!

HOPS:
Centennial, Mosaic
MALT:
2-Row Pale, Carahell, Vienna

CAPTAIN RON (IPA)

7.0% ABV // 20 IBU // 15.5 P

medium body + tropical + smooth Captain Ron is back! We used the same base recipe as last year, except we adjusted the hop profile a bit. Last year it was all Mandarina Bavaria hops. This time around the beer is mostly hopped with Callista, a new super low alpha hop from Germany. This allowed us to add way more hops to the whirlpool than usual, which created some really smooth layers of flavor. Heavily dry hopped with both Callista and Mandarina Bavaria. This hazy IPA has intense hard fruit candy flavors, velvety mouthfeel, and very low bitterness.

HOPS:
Callista, Mandarina Bavaria
MALT:
2 Row Pale, Carahell, Oats

B PROUD (IPA)

6.5% ABV // 60 IBU // 13.5 P

light body + lime and pine + crispy Brewed to benefit Bellingham Pride & celebrate PRIDE month nationally, this IPA takes pilsener and wheat malts, combines them with Centennial, Chinook and Cascade to deliver a light, dry, and refreshing take on IPA. The C hops may no longer be sexy to the IPA crowd, but they're still hits worth remembering. More bitter than most un-clarified IPAs, but that keeps your pallet refreshed. Lemon/lime, with overtones of pine and background notes of pineapple anyone?! Special thanks to Skagit Valley Malting, and Yakima Chief for their generous contributions to this beer.

HOPS:
Cascade, Centennial, Chinook, Strisselspalt
MALT:
Pilsner, Wheat

Coastal+Pils+Alt.jpg

COASTAL PILS

4.8% ABV // 40 IBU // 1.046 OG

light body + zesty bitterness + crisp Brewed in similar fashion to the northern German style pilsner, we named this beer Coastal Pils as a nod to Germany’s coastal region where notable examples exist. Not to be confused with a Bavarian Pilsner, this style has a more pronounced zest and citrus-like bitterness. While not German, we prefer the flavor of Czech Saaz hops, which were used at a rate of 1 lb per barrel to create the distinct hoppy flavor. This lager is fully attenuated, hoppy with a refreshing mineral finish.

HOPS:
Premiant, Saaz
MALT:
Pilsner

Frances+Farmer+2017.jpg

DISCO LEMONADE (BERLINER WEISSE)

4.5% ABV // 4 IBU // 1.040 OG

light body + effervescent + tart

The People's Champagne is back! Brewed in the Berliner Style, this sour weisse (white) beer uses Pilsner malt from Skagit Valley along with a large volume of wheat, then fermented with Lactobacillus and our house ale strain. We create this beer every year as a toast to Summer. So raise your glasses and cans - It’s time to celebrate!

HOPS:
Strisselspalt
MALT:
Pilsner, Wheat

FRANCES FARMER (SAISON)

5.6% ABV

medium body + CITRUS + DRY

Frances Farmer is crafted with a blend of top fermenting saison yeasts in stainless steel. After primary fermentation is complete, it is transferred into a foeder for maturation with 3 strains of brettanonmyces. This batch began our solera-esque program where we remove a portion of the matured beer from the foeder for packaging. Freshly fermented Frances is then added back to the foeder to replace what was removed, and to continue the maturation process.

Inevitably the subsequent batches will vary slightly and age for different lengths of time. This particular batch was matured in oak for 6 months, then spent 4 months conditioning in the bottle and kegs with brettanonmyces.

HEFE (WEISSBIER)

5.4% ABV // 14 IBU // 12.6 P

medium body + banana + clove Who makes Hefe anymore?! While it may not be the most trendy beer in the PNW, it's a beautiful style that's worth resurrecting. We could ramble on about the extent we went to produce this classic, but our SparkNotes will do: longest protein resting/mash we've ever done, double decocted, 60% wheat, classic yeast, free rise fermentation, extensive aging — slightly more clove than banana, and entirely satisfying.

HOPS:
Hersbrucker, Mittelfruh, Perle
MALT:
Caramunich, Pilsener, Wheat

館山市 (Tateyama) // Japanese Lager

5.2% ABV // 18 IBU // 11.6 P

light body + refreshing + crisp This premium quality pale lager is made with whole white rice and German Pilsener malt, which went through a 4-hour cereal/decoction mash. Lightly hopped with Strisselspalt for a hardly noticeable 17 IBUs. Fun fact, when Budweiser still used real hops they used Strisselspalt after they had to switch away from Saaz. This beer is dry, crisp, and intensely satisfying.

HOPS:
Strisselspalt
MALT:
Pilsner, Rice

HELLES VOLLBIER (MUNICH STYLE HELLES)

5.0% ABV // 20 IBU // 11.8 P

medium body + malt forward + crisp Helles Vollbier is the latest release from our obsessive approach to authentic lager brewing. This beautifully delicate lager is simple - and only created with the highest quality Organic German Pils and Mittelfruh hops. A double decoction mash takes single malted lager to a height of malt complexity. The hop character sublimely balances the palate, while the carbonation is 100% natural, resulting in a most drinkable lagerbier.

HOPS:
Hallertau Mittelfruh
MALT:
Pilsner

RICE CRISPY (IPA)

6.0% ABV // 56 IBU // 12.6 P

light body + hoppy a.f. + dry This IPA started with 20% rice which was cereal mashed-- Pilsener malt was added and the whole lot was then decoction mashed. This beer features a cold fermentation with kolsch yeast from our favorite brewery in Cologne, cold dry hop which consisted of a stupid volume of Nelson Sauvin and Moteuka hops, natural carbonation & is far too thick to filter. Notes of Marlborough (New Zealand), rice, soft/dry pallet.

HOPS:
Pacific Gem, Moteuka, Nelson Sauvin, Rakau
MALT:
Pilsner, Rice

10° PILS

4.2% ABV // 30 IBU // 10 P

light body + saaz-y + delightful Another full Reinheitsgebot (1927) Czech style pale lager! Once again, quite literally only malt, hops, water and yeast in this beer. Which means this beer used no water, or pH adjustment additives. Brewed in the full authentic Czech way; triple decoction mashed, with a three hour acid rest, hopped exclusively with ŽPČ (saaz), fermented at 8C, lagered for 6 weeks and naturally carbonated. If you enjoyed the authentic Czech flavor in Svetly, you love its little brother. Warning, low levels of diacetyl - again, intentional and very much the Czech way. Also, 1927 was the first year the purity law mentioned yeast, in case you're wondering why we keep referencing the year.

HOPS:
Saaz
MALT:
Pilsner
