Šumava (pronounced shoe-mava): Bohemian Pale Lager (also known as a Czech Pils) and Seattle’s 4th Anniversary beer! This beer is named after the Czech name for the forest that separates Germany from the Czech Republic. This is a region where a lot of this style of pale lager is brewed and is an homage to the OGs of pale lagers.

The aroma boasts notes of tarragon, woodiness, and toasted crackers. The malt notes on the palate are developed thanks to the decoction process, tasting like bread crust and toasty crackers. The Saaz hops taste of fresh garden herbs like marjoram, tarragon, and thyme. The bitterness is present but balanced, aiding in the crisp finish with a light-medium body.
