DECEMBER NONPROFIT HIGHLIGHT: VAMOS OUTDOORS PROJECT

Vamos Outdoors Project is a community-centric non-profit organization that focuses on providing developmental justice for Latine youth through outdoors and academic programs. Serving Latine, Migrant, Multilingual, and Newcomer youth in Whatcom and Skagit counties, they encourage healthy habits, social-emotional learning, and positive childhood experiences that cultivate character, confidence, and perseverance. Vamos also connects families with essential resources that support stability and growth in their communities.

Their staff is a group of dedicated professionals, many of them coming from migrant and immigrant families themselves. The staff has a deep passion and commitment to these children, their families, and their futures. 

This work would not be possible without the generous financial contributions from donors and endless hours from volunteers. Together, we can help unlock the transformative power of nature by continuing to build community through connection to the land and access to the outdoors.
