EMPLOYEE FEATURE: JORDON
Meet Jordon: A very personable and easygoing bartender at our Fremont tap room!
Jordon has been bartending for four years and was bartending at a place nearby when he noticed the Aslan Seattle taproom! He saw an online job posting and came around to introduce himself to the crew and our manager Samira. He was instantly a great addition!
“Anytime I'm here, I am having fun.”
Bartending suits him very well because he likes to talk with people and move around. In fact, his favorite part of working in the Fremont neighborhood is the people. He has a handful of regulars or “friendly faces” he likes to see and has created a great rapport with.
Jordon is originally from Maryland and moved to Wisconsin when he turned 18. There, he met his girlfriend Shelby, and together, they moved to Seattle!
He has lived on the East Coast, in the Midwest, and now the West Coast and said that it was definitely an adjustment moving here considering he came during Covid, but he wouldn't say it was a culture shock
“No matter where you go, you go to a bar, and you find more of the same. People go out to talk, have a good time, and want to be in that third place”.
The third place is a term that refers to a place outside of your home or work that encourages social interaction and relaxation.
Jordon's favorite beer at Aslan is the Tateyama. He likes the crisp, refreshing feel and the floral notes. His favorite menu item from Local Tide is their Albacore tuna sandwich. With sourdough bread, seared albacore tuna, a celery and frisee salad, and vinaigrette, the two pair very well together, creating a very refreshing meal!
Outside of work, Jordon loves to travel. He is looking forward to traveling back to Wisconsin in September to see his family, whom he hasn't seen for a while, and then potentially back to the East Coast, where he is from!
When Jordon is home in Seattle, he likes to hang out with his girlfriend Shelby and their cats, Kiwi and Lemon. He also likes to play games on the Nintendo Switch and makes music!
“I love making music. I do a lot of R&B and hip-hop live beats, that sort of thing.”
